At Lantern Learning Micro School, our programs are thoughtfully designed to nurture every child’s natural curiosity, build foundational skills, and foster a lifelong love of learning. We provide flexible, full-day options for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade, with an emphasis on exploration, independence, and collaboration.
This was a very fun class and I learned a lot, and I was really able to connect with this teacher because of his respect to his students and his politeness, and I believe that his grading and assignments were all fair and I have never had a such enjoyable and active class in my years at this school.
Full-Day Program Options
K–8 | 5 Days a Week
For families seeking a consistent, full-time educational experience, our 5-day program offers a robust and enriching curriculum infused with inquiry-based learning, academic rigor, and hands-on projects.
K–8 | 3 Days a Week
Our 3-day model is ideal for families looking for flexibility while still benefiting from our immersive, child-centered approach. Students participate in all core subjects and project-based experiences.
Homeschool Enrichment
A supplemental educational program aimed at enhancing your child’s homeschooling curriculum. We provide opportunities for social interaction, specialized instruction, and hands-on learning experiences in our design spaces that might be difficult to replicate at home.
After-School Program
We offer a supervised, structured program that takes place following the traditional school day, providing a safe and enriching environment for your child.
In our afterschool program, children are provided a range of supports and activities, including academic enrichment, homework help, physical activities, creative arts, STEM exploration, and social-emotional development.
Our after-school program supports working families by providing the kind of affordable, reliable care that’s consistently linked to positive student outcomes such as improved academic performance, better attendance, and better decision-making.

Summer Creative Labs
Join us in a vibrant space designed for young researchers and creators to explore their interests alongside dedicated professionals. With options for three- or five-day schedules, our flexible summer enrichment program inspires students to dive into hands-on, small-group projects, including visual arts, podcasting, filmmaking, social media reel production, creative writing, and photography.

Social & Emotional Growth
Our use of Conscious Discipline helps children develop self-awareness, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills, laying the groundwork for success in both school and life.
Screen-free Learning
The core subjects—reading, writing, math, and science—are thoughtfully tailored to meet each child’s unique learning pace and individual style. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we recognize that every child absorbs and processes information differently. That’s why our educators adapt instruction to align with each student’s strengths, interests, and developmental stage.
We partner closely with parents to select fully analog, screen-free curricula that foster not only academic growth but also confidence, independence, and a genuine love for learning. These hands-on, engaging materials promote true mastery and deeper comprehension, encouraging children to explore, question, and connect with the world around them—without relying on digital devices.

Reggio Emilia-Inspired Inquiry
Children are encouraged to ask questions, explore their environment, and take an active role in their learning journey through self-directed and collaborative discovery.
Self-Paced Core Subjects
We meet each child where they are. Our students progress through math, literacy, science, and social studies at their own pace with guidance from skilled educators.
Afternoon Project-Based Exploration
