At Lantern Learning Micro School in Denver, Colorado, we believe education should be as unique and dynamic as each child. Our school was founded on the principle that students thrive in an environment where they are respected, inspired, and deeply engaged in their learning journey.
Drawing inspiration from the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we foster a learning community that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and creativity. Our students are not passive recipients of information—they are researchers, explorers, and inventors. With the support of multiple guides (our experienced and caring instructors), students learn through inquiry, project-based discovery, and hands-on experiences.
We serve students in grades K through 8 with full-day programming available five days or three days per week, providing flexibility while ensuring deep, meaningful learning.

Welcome to Lantern Learning Micro School! We’re so glad you’re exploring what makes our school a vibrant, innovative, and nurturing place for children to grow. Each day at Lantern Learning is filled with curiosity, creativity, and meaningful exploration—and we’d be honored to have your child be part of our community.
Lantern Learning Micro School is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and welcomes students of all backgrounds. We currently enroll children in Kindergarten through 8th grade, with options for both full-time (5 days/week) and flexible (3 days/week) attendance.
There are no formal academic entrance requirements. Admission decisions are based on a holistic understanding of each child’s developmental readiness and alignment with our inquiry-based learning approach.
Applications are accepted year-round. However, we recommend beginning the admissions process as early as January for the upcoming school year due to limited space.
