Our Mission

Lantern Learning is a unique environment that fosters a love of learning while empowering students to become independent thinkers. Our school model was inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, which emphasizes creating a rich, stimulating learning environment that supports a child’s natural curiosity and encourages exploration. We also incorporate Project-Based Learning (PBL), which allows students to delve deeply into topics that interest them and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, we utilize the Conscious Discipline social and emotional curriculum (SEL) to help students build self-awareness, self-regulation, and positive relationships.

In a world that’s becoming increasingly complex, where success is driven not only by what you know, but by what you can do with what you know, it’s more important than ever for students to be equipped with the knowledge and skills to solve tough problems, gather and evaluate evidence, and make sense of information.

Increasingly, evidence supports what parents and educators have always understood: each child is inherently capable and naturally curious. To nurture this, we all play a vital role in learning with children, acting as researchers and guides. Lantern Learning will cultivate this by offering an environment where children can freely experiment with ideas, manipulate materials, and construct their understanding.
